Raccoons as pets ??

Sounds like those raccoons are a bunch of punks as the ones that hang around at my work don't even have to chase the feral cats away, the cats know to move on when the raccoons approach. They will eat up all the cat food and then turn around and pee in the food bowl after they are finished eating.

Don't sleep on a raccoon....my Lab/Shepherd mix cornered a 40lb raccoon when I was a kid, that raccoon TORE HIM UP, entire ear was totally shredded, needed like 70 stitches. Raccoons can be NASTY if they want to be

I live in Ireland and I got the opportunity to take an 11 week old and I jumped on the opportunity but turns out I'm like one in only six people.in all of Ireland to have one so have no one to compare training ideas etc.. with. So from she is making an incredible little companion she was hand raised by people so knows nothing else and gets on well with my dogs

Haha yes she's obsessed with water and puts all her food in the water dish lol
 
I hear they are sold in Japan. I was told by a trapper that they make good pets until you take them outside and then "you'll never get it out of a tree".

Is yours mischievous? I imagine they are.

My grandma has raised several racoons. When they was baby's we used to feed them toast in milk. When they got older we would put feeder gold fish in a bird bath to teach them to hunt.

Yes definitely mischievous but I take mine out usually on a cat lead and harness and she loves it you have to have a lot patients lol
