Hello; So far I have only seen some headlines with few details. This seems to be a pattern though. A black man gets killed by authorities and before many facts are known a riot starts.
One headline I heard is that the victim was carrying a loaded gun in his hand and may have pointed it at the police. Unclear if this has been confirmed as yet. If true, then the shooting could well be justified.

My point being that the riot is premature if, in fact, having a riot is supposed be a reaction to a bad shooting. The pattern seems to be that most any shooting of a black man can result in a riot regardless of the facts.

Could it be that in many large cities a riot is something a portion of the population is looking for and most any excuse will do? I ask because these riots do not make sense to me. Often the private property of non-involved people is detroyed, burned and looted.
Can there be an element of a population which wants a riot for reasons other than anger over the shooting?

Constant complaining about no opportunity then destroy the few sources of employment in the area. It is really a sad self perpetuating cycle that is, IMHO tacitly approved of by many in power that will never feel the effects but use it for their own schemes

there where 5 shooting, not counting the police shooting, over the weekend, none involved cops, and no protest or mention of them by the protesters, there was shooting, A Black cop shot a Black suspect that was pulling a gun as revealed on body cam, the protesters came out, the father of the victim says his son was no role model and did not condemn the shooting, his sister on the other hand is yelling to burn the city down. but not down town., the suburbs. when protester was asked why he was protesting when he was shot by a black cop protecting himself from a black man pulling a gun on him, he said it was not about that, it was about rich folks with all the money not giving him any. His words, the rich folks are not sharing there money.

these people are not protesting anything but just looking for a reason to burn, rob and create mayhem.
 
These riots r mostly people who r frustrated and angry, who let their emotions overcome their senses, there r some well thought out and planned riots but u don't see many of those lately, people these days have no patience to plan things well, and therefor are unlikely to achieve anything worth achieving
 
We have a problem in SA. Many black people do not have proper housing or services. Then they blame it on the white people whilst the president spends public funds on his private estate (he was convicted and had to pay some back)

Riots were bad when xenophobia was rife last year. THEY BURNT A MAN IN A TIRE.

If people realise police have a hard job and can be on edge in higher crime areas. Shooting a man that is drawing a weapon seems reasonable to me

hello; I did get some of this a while back in the news. The mishandling of public funds by the president and the burning in a tire (this seems particuraly bad). Lots of troubles to go around for all.

While it is still unknown to me for sure so far, if the man did have a loaded gun and acted as the police have reported, then the initial shooting may well be justified.

Here is the wrinkle. The cat was apparently a femae as there are now two kittens also. The kittens are also not approachable. They are perhaps too old to be tame?
Here is the question; does anyone have any tricks to tame feral cats. I can put food out but can do no more as long as they are not approachable.

my cat taming around these parts usually involves a .243 and a steady hand.
