What primitive fish are good with florida gars?

So, I'm getting a florida gar and I was wondering what other primitive fish do well with them? The aquarium is going to be 6ftx3ftx2ft and also will be bare bottom with no decor.

I was going to suggest that but if the bass are small and gar is large it won't work it too well depending on how many cocks
