I think it's time to that you got yourself a 180gal grow out cichla tank. That would solve all your problems.

What about the question of having only one of each sp and mixing them together to have a group as I've read peacock bass do much better I groups as opposed to solo. While setting up the monster tank, I do plan on adding possibly (2) double stacked 160x80x50 tanks to serve as grow outs for either ray pups and other grow outs and quarantine/hospital tank. (Also probably one dedicated to my aimara)

I agree with everyone else. I think it's time you get your hands on all of these species. Post them pics up here and come join the cichla group. You may find yourself getting rid of most of your other fish just so you can keep cichla. I've seen some really nice cichla and Asian aro tanks.

The Asian arowana peacock bass datnoid and ray mixed tanks are sure popular here. I'll definitely record the progression of the cichla collection when it starts. ;)

It can be done. Two of each Sp.

Getting two of each sp. does it have to be male and female? The odds of that is not very high.. Unless venting and I haven't done that before myself.

I'm glad your jumping on board! Can't wait to see some photos of your cichla and your tank.

As for the pairs, i believe he was referencing the amount of peacocks and not the gender. But don't get me wrong, it's nice to get some males and females in your tank although it doesn't always workout to be that easy with cichla.
