What would be the minimum tank size for a pair of orinoco peacock bass? I am unsure of what tankmates would be but not too many, perhaps a catfish (thinking of a bolt catfish) and maybe some silver dollars? Thanks
That's what I was thinkingYou can probably get away with a 180g 6'x2'x2' although 30" wide would be better. I wouldn't keep them in anything smaller. As long as you can stay on top of keeping your water quality prestine. That is the hardest part with keeping big fish in a small tank.
Im interested in hearing what a few others have to say.

stunt them in small tank mate! whot you call small then? no matter whot size the tank" ! if you take out the wild" your never going to get same results! cannot see how bass in a 6ft 2ft 2ft are going to grow lot slower than bass in 450g buddy! no good having big tank with overstock and crap water and bad food!225g w/ 30" width is min for most cichla imo.
ANd I think that is small. NOw that i have a 450g i too think that is small.
Big bass in a big tank is a sight to see. NO need to stunt them in a small tank.
