Should I build the fish shed?

I honestly feel you on that one. I try to do my tanks about once a week, but sometimes put it off a day or too. Usually if I'm busy or don't have the time. Once or twice if I just don't feel like dealing with my stupid python and slow sink lol.

Do you have a water tester (liquid or the sticks)? I heard that it's a bit better to do a water change one week than to keep testing the water to see the rate in which nitrates and ammonia build up in the tank. That way you know just how long you'll have until the next water change and to better build up a schedule. Opposed to just blindly changing out possibly an insignificant amount of water every week or two.

I have heard of people who have had saltwater tanks who have gone 10 years without doing a water change. At least I am not that bad.
*I don't do water change on my saltwater for years BUT it's just NOT like that LOL.
*My water parameters are: PH conssistent 8.4, ammonia 0ppm, Nitrite 0ppm and nitrate 0ppm or at least not showing up in API test kit.
****REMEMBER*** it's a key point for not doing water change in saltwater aquarium is Carbon dosing so you better research before comparing a self laziness with a chemical knowledge technique.

Why don't you rather experiment with changing your tank setups so the need less maintenance, it will make the environment more stable and you wouldn't need to do water changes that often.
