Holy crap! The hawks in the USA sound like the plovers (masked lapwings) down here..

Although the signs made me laugh.

The hawks usually aren't aggressive. I've been able to get pretty close to them but now that they have little ones they don't want anyone near them.

I get a kick out of the signs too but i thought the courtesy protection umbrellas were absolutely hilarious haha. I'm happy the university is working around the hawks instead of trying to get rid of them.

One of my favorite hike trails, about an hour from where I live, but offers totally different landscape.

I was sitting under this tree because it was a good 20 degrees cooler under its shade, as if it had a built in air conditioner. It was probably over a 100 that day.


Worth the long hike.
