So i was sure my green terror was a female due to her having a bit of green "beard" and not particularly long dorsal fins. But now it looks like she/he is getting a hump, im not really sure anymore. Can females get the hump on they're heads also?

Green beard is for sexing JD, not GT. Old female can get a small hump and dominant non-breeding female can be as colorful as male. GT is not sexable until near maturity when the male gets bigger, has steeper head profile, and slightly longer fines. Unless you have the fish side by side, it's hard to sex a single GT.

GT sexing thread comes up twice a month. Why not do a search before posting.

Yes they can.Not normally as pronounced as a males but they do.
These are all females below.

I agree with most of this but I think you can tell the sex very early on if you have both sexes to compare.

Is the start of the dorsal fin white? Most females dorsal fin will turn white at the start and end in orange.

White or orange dorsal is genetic, not sexual. Domestic strain GTs can have all white or all orange dorsal in both sex Asian strain GTs are all orange by selective breeding. I have been wrong many times to pick male from my grow out GTs by color. The only sure way to tell a female is when she turns dark in breeding dress.

The females in the picture above have a half white dorsal. This happened as the fish matured.
The male is from the same batch and has an all gold dorsal.I have only seen the dorsal turn white, with age in females.

The fish below are young, less than 3"
The male is at the bottom rear.It is clear that this fish is male and the rest females.

This fish is female, you can see the front half of the dorsal starting to turn white.

Here is a female from the same batch but older, the white in the front half of the dorsal is more deleted.

Here are a adult pair from the same batch, only the female shows the half white dorsal.
