I wonder why few predators fishes leave clown loach alone (the pike in picture pretty much can eat those clown with ease), even they are big enough to swallow it whole. I got few payaras on live feeders but they don't touch clown loach even after a week without food.

he has never touched a tankmate, the polys have eaten some loaches but never him.

yes....why yes it is lol Why don't you get a Pleco or growout a Chinese Algae-eater???

Either way, it's still cool.....bit of artificial light wouldn't hurt for pix

My cae barely eats any algae, he'll munch a bit here but ultimately not enough to make me ever consider buying one specifically for the job

then it was probably a mis-labelled SIAMESE.....my CAEs eat algae all day, but SAEs are friggin useless

It seems as they grow(cae) they seem to prefer algae less, as juvies they seem to be good algae eaters.
