And the dominant male will most likely kill of the non dominant males, and maybe a couple females but a pair will be clearly formed and dominate the tank. If there are any others left, sell them or get them in a new tank b4 they get killed lol. Also always have a divider ready, things can get hairy in the blink of an eye with these guys.

im gonna build myself a 150 or 200 gallon plywood aquarium and yeah ive never bred cichlids before but i have heard a lot of stories of the male killing its female !!
 
If you want a show, I think Dovii. Personality, Oscars simply due to the fact they are pretty much dogs with gills. Color-wise I think either a flowerhorn or a festae. I just love the bright warm colors of them
 
I say any vieja. In the color dept they are pret hard to heat (argentea, zonatus, syns lol all of them)

But for personality i'd go pearsei.

I couldn't find anyone selling them in my area and i don't want to pay a ton of money for shipping. I'm still looking for some so if you hear about someone selling them in montreal canada, hook me up :) Meanwhile I have a breeding pair of GT a JD and a big pleco in that tank.
