With the new CITES regulations going in effect January 2 2017, what does it really mean for the hobby? I've already seen a big increase in prices of Potamotrygon on aquabid, and a lot of people say it's going to be harder to find stingrays. It seems to me that the majority of rays we keep are captive bred, and also rays will still be imported. It's just that they will be more closely monitored as far as reporting collecting and needing permits. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I personally don't plan to monopolize on the inflated prices of rays due to the CITES regulations. I plan to breed my female motoro and sell pups for reasonable prices. What do you guys think?
