So I had a kelzul jump out of my tank just a it ago and i found my cat with it behind the gills needless to say I don't know if I'll be able to save it but I won't let it go down with out a fight!! I hate this feeling of not knowing.....so lame!20161210_104111_001.jpg 20161210_103959.jpg

Keep your water clean with water changes and stuff it with food.

Yeah I've done a wc already and added salt so well see what happens Cuz there was some blood on my hand when I scooped it up off the floor so I saved one of my Azuls that did the same thing but it was bitten as badly so all I can do is a lot of wc's and hope for the best

Does he eat?

Haven't tried yet I wanted to give it time before I feed after a water change plus I also threw in some Pima fix to help kill off any bacteria that may have been transferred during the cat biting down and running with it across the house I'll try and feed it in a bit

Looks like a pretty bad sore. Hope things work out.

Definitely change the water everyday and hopefully he pulls through

Yeah it's a pretty bad gash on the side, I did try and feed it and it showed interested in the pellets but didn't try to eat them, which I honestly expected to happen with seeing how the cat had ahold of it. But since I tried feeding it it has started to regain some of its color and is acting some what "normal" but so far all I've done is wc, salt and some Pima fix, but with how bad it is I'm planning on doing 2 waterchanges one in the am and one in the pm, I'll be shocked if it pulls threw tbh but I'll do my best and see what happens 20161210_202354.jpg

I had a wild largemouth bass who got similar with njuries from a osprey,(in a pond I fished in),he was eating and everything afterwards till one morning I found him floating 2weeks after the attack, secondary infection must of got him(sad considering I fed him for five years, since he was 3 inches and one of the only bass who would eat pellets)

Hopefully he pulls through. That's a really nice looking bass. How big?
