950 Plywood/Acrylic Build on Wheels!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No laughing matter. Leak or no leak. People are here to help. Not get laughed at.

Not laughing at him or saying this is a laughing matter. Criticism and help are obviously greatly appreciated. There are people on here that are being D*cks instead of trying to help. It is those people I am laughing at and hoping this succeeds.

Is the liner glued in the tank? The only reason I ask is you have the liner going under the acrylic. If it's not what's holding the acrylic to the tank if it's glued to the liner. You could of used the liner as gasket and bolted the sheet to the frame

Thanks, that would be a great option especially if it doesn't work out this way. We actually put double sided tape down before laying the liner in.

So the Tape is holding the liner, and the glue is the gasket between the acrylic and liner.

Glue looks good it takes forever to cure though. Still have some more taping to do. Added the top bracing. To get the wood to support the top of the window of 1.5 inches, we used a 3/4 piece of ply between the top 2x4 brace and 3x3 support.20160306_201042.jpg 20160306_201134.jpg 20160306_201157.jpg 20160306_202649.jpg 20160306_202659.jpg 20160306_202716.jpg

Installed the bulkheads, the top braces/brackets and single sided tape around the perimeter of the acrylic. We also used 2 4 inch screws and drilled them on each side into the horizontal 3x3 supporting the top of the acrylic window to keep it from moving since was only attached to the 2x4 from above. Lastly, we used a tarp to cover up the back of the tank where the installation is.

I also forgot to mention that I added sand to corner's and side of the tank under the pond liner to protect the liner from and sharp edges of the tanks walls at the bottom (not pictured).20160317_162423.jpg 20160312_185953.jpg 20160318_151253.jpg 20160318_150249.jpg 20160320_204506.jpg 20160320_204528.jpg 20160320_204810.jpg 20160320_204826.jpg 20160326_182646.jpg
