Losing Passion for My Community Tank

Actually, the biggest issue is being able to quarantine fish big enough to go in either tank. Logistically, it is a constant problem sice I want to add more fish and have the tank space, but don't have tanks large enough (and cycled) to quarantine a single fish. Woah is me.

I get it, I am just expressing my envy and admiration
 
Just a quick update: I have sold or traded just about everything except the acaras, balas, and 3 larger plecos. There are probably 10 smaller Pleco/loach species left but they have hiding spots.

My new plan: shark tank!
I'm going to try and rescue as many Bala Sharks on craigslist as possible. Ones that have outgrown their tanks.

I will still add 4-6 chili red oscars and possibly some more acara and be done. New aquascaping coming soon!

Really like the idea of a large school of bala sharks. You never see a large school in a proper sized tank. Should be a sight to see!

Awesome idea, I have 5 balas and I think a big tank with over a dozen would look incredible

I'm seconding the Dovii idea. That's a complete reversal of the community tank. Either that or a death row style Parachromis or Amphilophus tank. Just the biggest baddest cichlids you can find. (That just made me think of Blazing Saddles, rustlers, hustlers, mugglers, buggers.)

This is so true. I can't find a single youtube vid with a large school of bala sharks. I'm thinking the tank can handle at least a dozen or so balas. So, I need to rescue at least 8 more.
