What size plumbing ?

Mayne i should get the dct 15000. I wanna be able to run these pumps on the lower end of the spectrum.

I too don't like to run my DC pumps for return and CLS at full throttle. Mainly because I dont have the need at this time for my filtration and circulation, respectively. Another added benefit is knowing i have more headroom and not pushing the pumps.

Are there other reasons you want to run ~43% at the third setting?

2in drain, 3/4in returns.
Im going with 1.5 inch drains maybe the 15000 would be a little to much since your on setting 1. Thanks man

Good point soupa2 soupa2

Guys is ther any reason why i couldnt run a small canister or hob off my sump ? Filled with just purigen ?

I would see any reason not running a canister off the sump for other chemical use. I made one section of my sump so water travels in a narrower section so I can put chemical media like carbon, crush coral, and etc... keep it simple like everyone here says... IMG_0256.JPG

My sump is gonna be empty no baffles or anything just sock holders and media. Was thinking the canister can sit right next to the sump.
