When they will release this from there mouth???any ideas
They will release when eggs hatch and when they find a safe area in the aquarium. They will also signal fry to retreat back to their mouth if they think fry is in danger.
Yes some geophagus surinamensis....but they are very peaceful mind there own business. ...tapajos are dominant pair in this tank
Okay they still will have to defend because the Surinamensis will try to pick off fry .
They will likely continue to spawn regularly and get better each time. So don't worry too much about survival on the first few spawns. Geos live for quite a while and will provide you with more babies than you could most likely ever want. Give them their own tank if your serious about it.
^This. Don't sweat the first spawn. If they do get to the point that they spit on their very first spawn they would be the best Tapajos parents I have ever seen - and I've raised many pairs over the years.
