It amazes me how many fish are banned in africa and Australia. I get its kind of a good thing though, they want to avoid whats happening over here
Yep. We have a pretty diverse climate so tropical and subtropical fish won't have much issue
After i get a new poly, pleco is easier to get, they have alot at WS. Plus i just bought two clown pleco when i bought the other fish. I was gonna put albino sen but they dont have it and my son liked the zebra danios so i dont think i can put anymore poly in there since the zebra danios only grows 3".
Its so strick, asia have the same tropical climate but they not that strick. Im only collecting pleco that grows 6"-8" nothing bigger than that.
Yeah, there would be competition with our native suckermouth cats I guess
I think smaller pleco dont stand a chance againts africas fish, lolz
I would try to call lfs and ask them which ones are banned and which are not, thats what i do when i was looking for plants and gars for the tank, give them a specific species and ask them if they can get it, if its banned they tell you right away.
the list is so long, maybe is maybe isn't.
I only see ancistrus for sale, and VERY rarely a pleco
You would be surprised man some pleco are armed to the teeth, covered in spikes and plating i would imagine allot of predators would be really desperate to go for a monster pleoc
