Regarding the $100 tag on the retropinnis. You sure? It's always the Moke wet spot has at that price. When they get 6" retros in. It's usually 6" $40, 8" $50.
Nice, i like them both, makes me wanna get a wc delNo, I kind of like the idea of finding a retro or moke... i'll keep my eye on their list. They updated every week. If I could find a 6 inch one it probably wouldn't be 100 bucks I would assume? I could just sneak it in the tank and be like I don't know where that one came from!
I am pretty psyched on these two! They are both 6 inches long. The Del of course is a little thicker.
The Senegal's name was noodles. We named these two Udon (Del) and Ramen (Palmas) in his honor.
Pics in bags. Sorry they're kind of dark. I introduce new fish into an unlit tank.

That's what the label said. But a Zaire green one, does that make a difference? It was definitely bigger than my 2, which are 6 in, and it was fatter. But I can't tell exact length because the tail was behind a rock.Regarding the $100 tag on the retropinnis. You sure? It's always the Moke wet spot has at that price. When they get 6" retros in. Mine were both $50 for 6 inches.
The retro was $100. A little too much for me to spend all in one shot. My husband would not be psyched.![]()
Thanks, hubby didn't even ask about price today.
What is it about the head shape that you like or is different than CB? I just liked his stripey patterning (which some that I've seen don't have as much). I have been reading a ton, but since I am a bichir newbie I don't know as much about head shape other than upper / lower jaw.
Honestly, hubby can see how much these two already make me happy. I just love staring at them. I think they are my favorite fish of all time and they have been here only a few hours. Why haven't I done bichirs earlier? I have been stuck in SA community fish for far too long.
PS. - I started a new thread on these two, wanted to separate them out from the Senegal thread. RIP Noodles. <3
Thats good to hear that you kept all your polysHey everyone, sorry. I ended up not sellingI've recovered pretty well, and by doing sump filtration I'm not having to deal with the back breaking canister maintenance. Sorry for the huge hiatus, I was just concentrating on recovering and trying my best not to think about selling everyone off. I'll have to update, everybody is still doing great and getting huge(er)
