8-10" WETPET THAT GROWS FAST?! any suggestions??

Jack Dempsey is good but doesn't necessarily grow to fast. I believe an oscar can be in 75, they grow fast when taken care of. Good Luck!

I'm no expert on cichlids but fancy goldfish will nicely fill the bill and will grow fairly fast at slightly higher temps, Just keep the water aerated and very clean

i still got my gt. its actually for my brother, not on this site. I thought I would get some ideas.
I wouldn't do an Oscar in a 75, it can be done but it's a lot of work.
Why not a small group of Thoricthys? Or Salvini with some dithers?

I second that. A salvini would do pretty good in a 75 by itself or maybe with a mate in a species only setup if they tolerate each other. Another option would be acaras but I don't think they get more than 6 or 7". Angelfish would be cool too.
Maybe one baby oscar would do ok in it as a growout tank with no tank mates and massive maintinance. Be aware a full grown one would have no room so you would have to upgrade asap.
If you want something smaller, livebearers maybe? Could get some huge sailfin mollies and set it up as a brackish tank. Or pike livebearers in a group would be pretty sick if they are legal where you live. (Mad that they aren't legal here for whatever dumb reason, dammit commiefornia!)

a female Amphilophus will rarely top 10" and will reach adult size in about a year
Herichthys deppii would be a good one for that tank. They stay under 8". Beautiful, and not timid.
Best suggestion so far in my opinion.
Also liked gamerchicks acara suggestion.
There are lots of acara that get 6 or 7 inches that would do the job.
Species like dimerus, portalegrensis or pulcher would be ideal.
