The owner said it was Lake Turkana.Do you still think that video is collected in Lake Turkana?
Tokyogasmask description of his Turkana pbb w/certificate :
'Turkana and Chad look almost identical.
The only difference is the Turkana have a more slender "longer" appearance, and the belly is more cream color. This cream starts closer to the lateral line than Chad. (Chad PBB has more green and markings going toward the underside.'

There's been a war conflict going on for some time now between Ethopia and Kenya. Dangerous place even for local fishermen. Forcing them to be armed with their nets.
In short, these expeditions to collect bichirs from Lake Turkana is a risky operation. Tokyogasmask from Japan who owned a Turkana PBB paid $3,000 for one. He reported it was a hook up from a photographer for the reseller of Aquar Art (poly reseller).
The fish market is so much larger in Asia. Most of the good stuff get sent over there. I don't think there is a way to purchase from Japan. Tokyogasmask has told us before about the Japanese not willing to sell their fish outside of Japan. Not too sure. It's been a long time. You need to get a bone placed in your nose, maybe start practicing your face painting... ya gotta get in good with the tribes, we want them to take you to all the best poky collecting sites not the tourist b.s lol
Hao why are these easily obtained in japan and not here ? Is there away to purchase from japan ?
Also do you think its possible that these were sold in the U.S but the owners are unaware ? Or are the physical traits so strong that even being kept on crappy substrate would still set them apart visually ?
Are there other catch localities that are popular or great looking? The fish market is so much larger in Asia. Most of the good stuff get sent over there. I don't think they were being sold in the U.S. The ones in the U.S are from Chad. Still some nice specimens IMO. Just doesn't look as beastly as those Turkanas!
LolI think you got the wrongHendre , lolz
Okay. I would rather go somewhere a little safer
