Must get more tanks.....

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am pretty much sick of my 3 tanks, can't imagine more than this.

I rather have a few tanks than more. I just want bigger tanks for the fish I have. I rather spend more time watching the fish rather then doing water changes. Less tanks for me is better, because I can keep up w/ the maintenance better. I am just really busy w/ a kid and a car hobby, so it just works for me.
Some people have more time and have the ability to keep up w/ things.
Maybe you just need to change? Like stock?

I have a 310, 150 and 125 lol plenty big enough. I'm actually in the process of starting a reptile room so I think my brain has switched gears a bit.

I am not huge on reptiles, but I really miss having a green iguana. I had a 3' female whom I rescued. She was free roaming, but was litter box trained (more like water bowl trained). The only time she went to the bathroom in the house was near the toilet lol. She was extremely friendly and really seemed to seek out attention. When I was sitting at the desk, on the computer she used to hop up on my lap. It was like owning a cat.
My wife loves turtles. One day we'll probably have turtles. I have a friend who breeds eastern box turtles.

Nice story.That iguana sounds amazing.
I would love more tanks but like you it's hard to find the time for them.
I am really interested in poison dart frogs(never kept any yet)I have been tempted to set up a tank for some for ages, complete with orchids, ferns and a fogger machine.Maybe one day when the daughter is grown up and less demanding.
Working full time having a baby a cat a rottweiler and a wife that is never happy unless I'm working on the house,I can barely find time to breathe these days.

I got pretty lucky with her. I guess females are more laid back. Males can get nasty and much bigger. They are pretty common here. It's sad because many pet stores sell them when young, and many people don't realize how big they can get.
My wife is the same way. But I am lucky to work from home, and can do water changes while no one is home :)

That is a bonus,my wife always moans while I'm doing water changes, I can hear her now"Stan!Your getting bloody water everywhere, how much longer is this bloody tank going to take"??It does my head in.
Also I'm unfortunate enough to be a carpenter and joiner,so she's constantly got me making building and improving things that don't need improvement.
Don't get me wrong, she's lovely, but a right pain in the arse.

Iguanas are beautiful animals,it must have been quite something to have a nice tame one roaming around the house.
