What's in the box?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was a little concerned with the "NFG" stickers on the box...

Where are the pictures?

I'm not even sure what those letters stand for.I will work on some photos but these kels are extremely skittish. They go nuts and dash about when I move in too close to the tank.

NFG is Next Flight Guaranteed. It is a service level when shipping air freight, usually there is NFG, priority and general service levels for the majority of freight.

Hmm,could that have sonething to do with the package arrival time changing three times with the final time damned near midnight?

Could be. What airline was it on? Several things take priority over freight, obviously passenger bags, then any mail, human remains, anything like that. Weather can also influence what they load. If the cargo hold fills up they'll bump it to the next flight, even as NFG. Really full flights with a lot of bags can fill up the hold alone.

Southwest Airlines.I usually prefer home delivery but I imagine the size and weight of the box prompted them to go the airport option.

Yeah, they have medium sized planes, their planes fill up pretty quickly. I work in the airfreight industry, sucks to be shipping some stuff NFG and have it bumped a couple times like your box was.

That said, they do tend to be one of the more reliable airlines out there.

Thank you for explaining that to me.

Can you keep us updated on how they acclimate? And eat prepared foods I wanted to buy another bass from Monster but have had the worst issues with them acclimating and going to prepared foods for some reason. Not putting them on blast , all the specimens have looked fine with no diseases or anything but like I said have been a real pain in my arse compared to other bass I've received when it comes to acclimating. Thanks.

I am very excited about these fish so I'll keep you all updated on their progress but what exactly do you mean by acclimating, which problems are you having with that?

I haven't ordered in awhile but I mean just like them becoming comfortable and eating and swimming around and not being light shy . Normal healthy fish behavior. I'm sure it's just a personal issue I had and nothing to do with his stock but was curious how others have been.
