Weight training/Macros/General workouts

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What is that? We did 5 5's. 5 sprints then a minute of x core thing, repeat. So it's 25 sprints with leg lifts, side planks, full plank and then ended with 20 pushups. then we had to sprint and tackle some bags as well. it was nice though
High Intensity Interval Training. sprints, then a break then sprints etc etc etc. its not a constant high heart rate, its elevated then you allow it to drop then elevate it again. Better than sustained moderate or high heart rates. You did what I would consider a version of HIIT

Ah okay. We walked back between sprints so i guess it counts. The fact that I'm already pretty lean helps so I don't need to lose weight as well

Looks like I'm done working out for a while. I have two 50%+ tears in my labrum and rotator cuff as well as some debris in the joint. The doctor said that this is the first time he's seen someone do anything like this much less do the workouts I do for swimming and that the fact I could deal with both at the same time was shocking.

Whoah. That's bad.

I'm pretty sore after a 4km run yesterday. 25 minutes as well so I'm quite happy

The only exercise I do is intense runs up and down steep hills wearing a water bottle filled backpack when I am hiking. My whole body is sore after doing a few sets.
Once a while I will do push-ups and curls with a 20 and 25 lbs.

Rotator cuff injuries suck. If he doesn't do surgery it's gonna bother you for a long time. That's one injury that doesn't go away on its own I no personally. I went sledding with my kids years back and I was heading to a tree so I dug my hand in the snow to turn, my arm flung up and I had intense pain. Till this day I still feel it when I train heavy. If I flex my front delts as I move my arm it gets to a point were u can see the tear. There's a void in the muscle like a big dimple.

I still have a 'dent' in my left ankle from the achilles tendon extension. That stuff sounds pretty sore

I'm thinking that I'm probably not going to opt for surgery until I'm finished swimming in 4 years after college. I'm hoping I can get by with just a debris cleaning and not need surgery at all.
