Is there a reason the azuls are at 78? Are you trying to see how fast they can acquire ich?
The tiny bass are more prone to ich at low temps. SLowly bump their temp up to 86-87 as well unless you want to care for sick fish.
Never had any problems with them. They also dont get live. I don't have an adjustable heater for that tank. It is a preset heater set at 78f. If I could bump it I would. They are in a tank that was never ment for bass. I planned to have them in with the broko but the size diff is too much. Once my jardini is sold I can move the azuls to a 88f 40br. The only reason I ever have had ich on any of my fish was due to feeders. Feeders are out and I am not geting more.
I also dont like to have my heat set this high. I like to stay at 82f normal. Small bass yes higher temp small aros yes higher temp. Once they are bigger they will be lowered to 82f. I feel too long at too high a temp can shorten their life.
