Mark is his name. You've been talking to him on your other thread. I thought it was he, who built a fully enclosed scrubber with submersible LEDs.

Quick update on the tank
So i meased with the stand pipes, lowering the right (slower one) and the water level was still off. Tried different combos on both sides and nothing changed. At the end of the day it wasnt that important to me as the herbies are dead quiet.

I did notice that part of the 3d backround on the right overlfow does block some of the teeth so maybe thats the reason for the difference in water level. Next water change i'll take a razor blade to it and skim some off.

As for the single gate valve being an issue...it isnt i havent touch the gate since last week and that was only because i was messing with it for no reason. After a water change the level in the overflows are off but over night it corrects itself...dont know why but it does. I guess some are is left in the plumbing and gets purged over time. If i fill the sump higher than normal the water level in the overflows rise i could/should mess with the gate to correct it but evaporation in the sump would just bring the level down at some point so ive been leaving it alone.

Got a stronger grow light for the water lettuce but am using on my attempt at a algae scrubber. Should be getting the light for the scrubber some time tonight.

I 'll post a pic later on of the finish algae scrubber.

Thought i would post this here incase someone stumbles accross the thread in the futre, may help them avoid making the same mistake.

So when i moved all the fish i alsooved the established media from the 150 gal along with adding 20L of matrix. In the past when i ever i set up a new tank and moved fish from a smaller one i kept the same routine in regards to feedings.

Well with all my excitement on the new tank i wanted to see how much i could throw at the system such as how fast the 50 micron socks would clog up (fast btw) along with how fast my nitrates would creep up with the new water volume. So i fed very heavily every day sometimes two portions. Not thinking about the new bioload vs the old. In the 150 these same fish were getting fed every 3 days along with multiple fin level wc's per week plus i added a 17 inch sp. Dabola a few days after setting up the new tank.

I noticed that the polys were looking really washed out and in the past when they looked off it usually happened when i was lazy and miss some water changes. So the other night i tested for ammonia just to see. To my utter shock it was between 2 and 4 ppm. Immediately did a fin level wc and dosed with safestart...smh

Ammonia as of yesterday looks to be 1ppm20170302_065005.jpgas of today. Looks .5

Good catch. I should probably do this myself as I used to only feed every other day prior to moving my eels into my 220. Now I feed every day and usually feed larger portions. The eels have been eating well and aren't acting any different though.

loving the build, fish look pretty happy in there. Have you had any algea growth on your scrubber yet?

Nope lol but i had re-roughed up the screen and added a new light last night so will start the count down over again
