it is a disease for sure. Even the medical/genetic conditions aren't a complete excuse. They may not make it easier but it sure isn't impossible to stay at a decent weight.Being fat isn't supposed to be a "glam up" tactic or a hashtag for you to get more people to view your selfie. It's a disease plain and simple. There's no excuse to be that overweight with today's technology. It's a choice to be that fat except for a few medical conditions.
I would've said I identify as a woman just to get free food.
If you want something you can get something. You don't have to be rich to eat right. And you're certainly spending quite a bit on food if you're looking like a mountain of mashed potatoes. You don't need a gym to workout, in the inner cities I've seen people doing farmers carries on the sidewalk with dumbells that look like they survived the apocalypse. I hate the mentality that "it's genetics" I can't change that. You certainly can if you work hard enough and long enough. It's amazing how the people I lifted with at four am were all at a healthy weight but the people who came in at 9:30 were all overweight and waddled everywhere.
Hello; A possible exception, at least to a degree, are the areas in some cities called "food deserts". I think these areas have populations with little to no access to healthy food sources and restricted transportation opportunities. This apparently leaves them only fast food and convenience type store food choices for the most part. And you're certainly spending quite a bit on food if you're looking like a mountain of mashed potatoes
Hello; there is one group who might be truly controlled by such. The eskimoes apparently have over long time of struggling for scarce food sources been prone to be overweight with regular food availability.I hate the mentality that "it's genetics" I can't change that
This is very true. I stayed in shape for many decades without a gym. I did join a gym when I hit 67 to use the low joint impact machines and to have a place to get some exercise during the winter. You don't need a gym to workout,
I agree with you there.Hello; All true what you say. To my question of media or other influence on the more current attitudes about "normalizing" an unhealthy weight. Any thoughts?
