jwd jwd sorry to hear about the driftwood not working out. Would advise not to put the driftwood fish in with the poly tank unless they are quarantined for a while prior to. Just my two cents though. I cross contaminated my tanks recently and it sucked.

Either way, that's wonderful to hear about your medical bills! Hopefully this time around will be better with the new fish! It's great to hear that the poly tank is doing well :)

Thanks! Yeah, I'm bringing in the survivors to my lfs. I'm going to replace them with feeder fish until I either 1. Get Toyin to answer or 2. if he doesn't, I'm ordering a golden wolf from Jeff. I'm doing my normal 75% water change on the 125g right now and will do at least another 50% on the 75g.

I did an 80% yesterday on the 75 will it hurt to do that much again today?

Then I should just wait a week and make sure the 75 is good to go? I can't spend $100 ++ on fish and this tank not be ready. The wood is gone and I've changed a lot of water.

Edit: The problem with feeder fish is that they're not properly kept and I might have loses no matter what so that might not be a good way to test this tank?

I'm still trying to figure out WC myself. So WC questions would be better answered by kno4te kno4te Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 J jaws7777

Would suggest guppies or giant danios for testing water , as that was recommended to me.

feeders are not kept properly in most cases like you said, and more susceptible to illness consequentially. so for me, I wouldn't want to put that in my tank unless if I wanted to keep them long term. But I do like goldfish lol.

I'll try danios depending on price. It's been a while since I've bought small fish.
Breed guppies or whatever. Many store danios are quite inbred and sickly

Oh, I'm not wanting feeders for fish. I'm going to keep feeders in this 75g until I get a monster in the mail for this 75g. I'm going to do a wet pet. I have to keep the cycle going in this tank.

Guppies would create more that sustains a larger cycle ;)
