lets get this retic to eat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good Luck!

Thx. I check the water atleast 2 times a day. He is not eating or making waste. So it has been easy to controll.

I am worried more about putting him in the bigger tank and not getting to monitor him. Once i get him to eat a bunch i will move to the next step. One step at a time.

He is moving around a lot tonight. Most i have seen since he arrived. Not sure if that is good or bad.

Water parameters are good, so it is not from poor water conditions....phew!

Another thing to try...I got a wild caught marble that refused to touch anything I gave him, was super skinny and I didn't think he was gonna make it. I tried chopping up night crawlers and he pounced on those. For the longest time he would only eat those but gained lots of weight and eventually started eating about anything. Might be worth a shot

He has been moving around quite a bit this morning. Not sure if that's a good sign or if it's that one last push before he dies sign.

I changed about 20-25% of the water. I tested it before I changed it it was 0, 0, 25 with a pH of 7.6. It should be exactly the same now as my tap water fits those parameters exactly.

I should be able to offer him some chopped up earthworms about noon or 1 o'clock today. My local store was out of them.

I usually get mine at Wal-Mart. My marble wouldn't touch the red wigglers, but went crazy for the night crawlers...and still does. Now I use them as a treat for my rays. Unfortunately I have never heard of death curl reversing...usually a ray is dead within 48 hours of the first sign of the disc curling. Really sucks man

Well, that really sucks. I'll go to Walmart and get some worms . I hope it's not too late but I'll give it a try. Is it definitely a death curl?

Is the back of the disc staying up like in the pic? Sometimes when a ray is spooked it will lift the back of the disc like that to get ready to defend itself with it's tail. If it's staying like that then it's definitely not good
