Ropefish people where y'all at?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ropes are awesome but I can't justify the cost of a bunch, plus my bottom will be full of polys and knies and whatnot soon. Definitely want to try some for a biotope with pelvachromis or whatever some day since the mouths on a rope are much smaller. great pics guys :)

lol? A supplier is getting a shipment of polys in 2 weeks ;)

I've got two ropes in a 55 by themselves. Anyone got theirs esting pellets? Only pellets mine will take are Ken's Fish earthworm pellets. Won't touch anything else other than frozen bloodworms and chopped frozen krill.

Mine far prefer bloodworms, live earthworms, and frozen fish of any kind (catfish, tilapia, silversides) as well as krill.

That being said, they will eat Carnivore and Massivore pellets now. I soak them in a thawing bloodworm cube - I think this helps tempt them with the BW taste, but also it's easier for them to eat the softened pellets vs. the hard ones. And I cut massivore in 3-4 pieces because their mouths are so small.

I feed "real" food like the first sentence, fast for a day, then do bloodworm soaked pellets and since they are hungry from a fasting day, they eventually gave up. ;)

mine eats just about anything if its served with a pile of bloodworms. i put the sinking pellets in a cup of water with the frozen bloodworms to thaw, then dump it all in at once so they all pile up together for the fish to find. started doing it to get my dat to eat pellets and i think the polys like the bloodworm soaked pellets the best
