Not entirely sure how the finlet got damaged but that's how it was when it arrived, but yeah it should heal back up in no time. Seems like the colors are getting darker, which is always nice to see
My guess is it will grow back. My teug had a hug chunk out of his tail and that was completely healed in a little less than a week and my endli completely lost its left fin and it's starting to grow out. Unless it's something genetic ( like Jack Dempsey's cichlids are so over bread they tend to have odd fin growth) but I would bet it grows back
