Got some tape ruler shots

When I first got my teugelsi, they were all 4", except for one that was more like 3"

This was a month ago, March 15th

A month later, they have grown to 5" (the smallest one now 4"), which is my usual expectation for good steady growth: 1" per month

For the first week or two I was feeding once every other day. After two weeks, those feedings were not leaving a bulge in their stomachs (they had grown half an inch), so I bumped the feeding up to once or twice a day.

So far all they've eaten are hikari carnivore pellets.

Weekly 80% water changes.

Burbotman Burbotman 1.5"!!!! How did you even see it in the tank at your LFS lol

I didn't realize you purchased yours about half the size of the rest, this makes your grow-out even more exciting the follow!

The whole thread is interesting but with burbotman, that's smaller than average to find for sale. I'm interested to see how it grows before it hits 4"

This would be the smallest size I have started a Bichir. This is fry size. I feel like everyone else has a head start :). I need to step up my game Love the inspiration from the others in this thread

Burbotman Burbotman must be the water in canada, its more fresh than the water in US, lol

Too funny, but seriously Calgary does have a good reputation for water. The mountain water is on the hard side and loaded with minerals. No nitrates in the tap water here!
