Is my fish real Red Terror??

+1 to this. But I want to take second and focus on the "Stunting".

So apparently some fish (maybe all fish?) produce a hormone that is released into the water that can slow growth.

Smaller tanks = less water volume (obviously) so it's much easier for these hormones to build up and affect growth.

So while it may actually be the case that this stunting can limit a fishes growth, thereby satisfying the myth that a fish only grows to its tank, its important to understand that this is not a good thing to do to your fish.

So if you was to do water change on a weekly basis that will remove the hormone from water??

Don't use minimum tank maintenance to justify keeping a fish in a tank that is too small.

The dog analogy someone used earlier is perfect.

People can do a lot of things, but it doesn't mean we should.
