I just picked up 75lbs of river rock form my local landscaping yard,$0.14/lb. :D

Ill be putting in a larger order for Malsaian Driftwood from Dr. Fosters and Smith, they are just $8/ea with free shipping over $29. Whatever I dont use ill just sell to my LFS.

I am going to be getting 100lbs of play sand from Homedepot for like $4 per 50lb bag.

So yea, getting things going :)
It almost seems a shame to tear down that beautiful display.

Almost... With high tech planted tanks literally everything you do is for the plants. They are absolutely the focus of the tank. Anything you do or change, the first thought that comes to mind is how is it going to effect the plants. It just so happens that you can keep fish with plants.

I'm ready to switch gears to keeping an animal and having it be the focus and the primary factor when making decisions. It will be a welcomed change of pace.

I think a puffer is a great way to go for that purpose since they're so interactive. Please keep us updated!

I received mine from Jeff Michaels at Aquatic Clarity. He had 1.75" puffers for $150 or $175, I can't remember which it was. The 2-3" sized were $200.

He won't have them listed on his website. If you contact him, he will order them in for you. He shipped them overnight to me, and they were in beautiful condition. They ate right away.

I can't post a link yet, so you can search on his business name above.

My husband has known Jeff for 25 years or so, and the fish he has received from him over the years have been in wonderful condition. We highly recommend him.

Oh man, I won't have any good quality photos like magpie because my Nikon bit the dust. All I have are cell phone pictures. I'll probably have to add more posts before I'm allowed to upload a file.
