So in my previous thread ( https://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/posts/7749187/ ) I have a juvie EBJD and Oscar together. They both appeared to be fine and eating like pigs. Until this morning I noticed the EBJD seemed more timid and didn't come up for food at first but eventually ate some FD mysis shrimp.
On the side near his gills there is this white thing. It doesn't look like fuzz/fungus or some sort of gill fluke or anything. He's not flashing. It looks more like possible a scale that's come loose? The fin next to it looks slightly frayed too.
The oscar doesn't seem aggressive towards him when he came up for mysis shrimp so I don't really know what's going on. Maybe he hurt himself on the drift wood or something or maybe when he tried to eat off the substrate the BN pleco beat him up a bit (he's kind of an ass). Anyway should I not be worried since he's still eating? I've attached some pictures.
Another thing I noticed is one of his eyes kind of has this dome over it. It seems to have always been there. I've had other cichlids before like rams that had eyes like that and they eventually grew out of it. Any ideas?
Thanks,
