Should I keep my synodontis petricolas?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
so it's at maturity that they turn active?

Different cat amigo, some can hide their entire lives. S. lucipinnis (which I assume is what the OP owns) are generally pretty social, and pretty active catfish. Other species, not so much.

I thought about posting it here but didn't want to take over his thread.
I think cross referencing is always helpful for OP and for future readers and those who are doing their homework, if done tactfully, as you pointed out. I don't see how one post and link can be objectionable. If anyone wanted to discuss what's in that link, they of course go to that link and talk there, as a sensible person :)

But I agree that people differ.

I infer RD is talking about lucipinnis and petricola.

I just picked up a breeding group of 8 adults, looks like 4 males, and 4 females, two are gravid. These cats haven't hidden for more than a few minutes after landing into their new 6ft tank. Constantly out and about, singly, and swimming in group formation. Keep the faith!
