Guys I rescued a fiery red oscar about 3" yesterday from my neighbor.. i have kept him alone in a 55g quarantine tank .. water parameters good and the filter is working well .. there is split in his caudal fin leaving it into two halves (which is not fully split till the root though) .. I have a aro and oscar community tank to which i will be transferring it after it catches some size .. all I want to know is will the fin unite to be one again ..

If it was not born like that yes with pristine water conditions it should grow back.

Beautiful little Oscar you have there. Keep us updated on this little cutie pies development. He/She looks to be a real eye catcher whe it grows up.

I have a pair that seems to be about the same size as your is atm 4.5in. Mine are an Albino Tiger Oscar, and an Albino Ruby Oscar.
