they wouldn't ever swim in my tanks. I prefer pure or what I believe is pure..hybrids just don't do it for me..well, theres the exception of superwhite bd hybrids
Must have had a change of heart overnight? I find this hilarious coming from the guy who has more mutts of unknown lineage than anyone else I know.Couldn't have said it better......
This whole mutt thing is going to screw this hobby in a bad way...... People being content with buying rays they have NO clue about lineage is a terrible idea.
We as hobbysist need to make a stand on this..... Don't get me wrong, I'm all for hybrids - WHEN and ONLY when lineage is known.
I think it's funny that people continue buying rays from breeders that refuse to disclose lineage. Don't know what it is? I'd never buy it. Sure as hell wouldn't peddle it.
Good point a out the dogs. There is no Labrador retriever in the wild at one point. How to write this...
I happen to be a very big fan of hybrids... it doesn't really matter if you know the bloodline or not... a hybrid is a hybrid.
And most of the time when you have a litter of hybrids they do not all carry the exact same look.
I do like to know what blood types are in a hybrid to create a certain pattern but in the end for me it is about the patterns and colors and not the bloodline.
I believe pureblood stingrays are most definitely needed but in the end what catches people's eye is what will sell... along with price.
And if you want to bring in Bloodlines of other animal types like dogs... There is no such thing as a pureblood unless you're talking about a wolf. All breed types have been specifically bred to achieve the desired look, weight and temperament.
The SW's are amazing!they wouldn't ever swim in my tanks. I prefer pure or what I believe is pure..hybrids just don't do it for me..well, theres the exception of superwhite bd hybrids
Absolutely! Would I be wrong to sell a motoro as a beautiful motoro ray? Or a unique motoro ray? Just a way to describe itI'm not sure what qualifies as a "super" hybrid either. Just used the term cause I have no idea what else to call them. Either way they are very unique! I love the high end black hybrids I have a ton of those as well. Most of those generalization descriptions like "super" get thrown around quite a bit and the actual definition gets lost in translation. However, I feel as long as they are not being sold as something they are not then the terminology is fine.
couldnt say it better...believe me I triedHow to write this...
