Long term, maybe. Gatf do well in groups like that once they get some size to them. Unless it gets a tank away from those much more aggressive fish when small, it probably won't last that long.

the GATF for sale is around 25cm.

my biggest fish at the moment is the aro 40cm, the rest are around 25-35cm. dorado is 30cm.

should i get the GATF? or too risky?

thanks a lot.

3.0 update- Nearly complete rewrite updating the Guide after four years of inattention. Added cf. "stout vatf", cf. "big eye", updated the rest of the species profiles, updated husbandry, fixed links. Need to find and re-upload Photobucket pics.

Does anybody know the breeding requirements of the Tiger Fish?
Lol.... people barely understand this creature let alone know their breeding requirements. 99% of their keepers can't even keep them properly to even hit ANYWHERE CLOSE to breeding size/care. Let me take a shot do you have plans of breeding them in the future?

LOL...well you never know.:) I'm currently working towards breeding the Red Tail Barracuda (A. Falcatus). Also working with breeding Cichla Intermedia at the moment. The Tiger Fish might be on my list, perhaps only with the species that grows the smallest at adult size.
If it's breeding behavior is anything similar to the Barracuda, then there is always a possibility as long as you have a large tank.
