The “blue mojarra” Herichthys sp. "Pantepec" (UPH), inhabitant of the Crocodile´s pond in Metlaltoyuca´s plateau.

Got a new light for his/her tank, great light for the price, but unless I leave it as an open top, this light doesn't hit the entire tank. Still well worth it. My fish on the other hand, seems to be stressed out from the change in light though.

forgive the horrible pictures and the algae filled tank.

to the person who messaged me saying " your sponge filters are disgusting, and the fish is in horrible conditions" I'm running a sun sun canister filter rated for 264GPH ( with biomax, sponges, and filter floss), and 2x powerheads ( with sponge filters attached ) both rated at 164gph. the two sponges you see in the pictures are for my soon to be fry tank. Tanks running at 0 Ammonia, 0 nitrites and 20 nitrate. So please keep comments to yourself, and just enjoy the picture.

that puts me at a 14.8x turn over rate. not to mention the sponge filters you see.

The pics show a healthy fish in clear water. Algae on the back is good for the tank in reality and if you have fry in there they can graze on it.

Really is a stunning fish!

That is one sic, fly, dope, boss, sweet, *****en fish!

Thank you sir.

Very nice,
thank you very much.

I couldn't agree with Chockful more. Stunning fish sir and set up as well. That is one well maintained fish and that blue hue on that fish, man; I am jealous.

The blue hue is what gets me <3, especially near the top fin. When the light hits him/her right you can see the reds in the fins as well. By far my favorite fish I think I've owned. If I'm lucky and this does end up to be a male, I think my project will produce something amazing.

I'll probably end up purchasing another one of these lights for the tank, but maybe something in the red spectrum. That way both fish will get that color enhanced look.
