Ofcourse a price drop to a10x3x3+!
What if it goes into a 13'x13'x4.5' on the east coast? Free?
But seriously, I am surprised there isn't anyone on the west coast who'd try to help you. Perhaps there is something I don't know, like it's impossible to catch and move without killing / heavily damaging it?
I understand your saying that a vet-administered sedative is needed but that would easily double your asking price, not to consider also moving expenses.
I imagine if one is very handy, resourceful, and skilled with, say, clove oil, they could then try to rehome the fish and it would cost them maybe only a bit over the asking price. Otherwise, I can see it easily to get over $1500, i.e., $800 plus the vet bill plus miscellaneous expenses.
Still probably it is quite risky. Sedative overdose is easy to commit and it kills fish. Not enough sedative and the fish freaks out and kills itself.
One may also find what's the lowest temp the fish can handle and cool its water gradually and sufficiently to get it to become lethargic to avoid chemical sedation.
IDK. Just thinking out loud how to help you, bro.
