Ofcourse a price drop to a10x3x3+!
What if it goes into a 13'x13'x4.5' on the east coast? Free? ;)

But seriously, I am surprised there isn't anyone on the west coast who'd try to help you. Perhaps there is something I don't know, like it's impossible to catch and move without killing / heavily damaging it?

I understand your saying that a vet-administered sedative is needed but that would easily double your asking price, not to consider also moving expenses.

I imagine if one is very handy, resourceful, and skilled with, say, clove oil, they could then try to rehome the fish and it would cost them maybe only a bit over the asking price. Otherwise, I can see it easily to get over $1500, i.e., $800 plus the vet bill plus miscellaneous expenses.

Still probably it is quite risky. Sedative overdose is easy to commit and it kills fish. Not enough sedative and the fish freaks out and kills itself.

One may also find what's the lowest temp the fish can handle and cool its water gradually and sufficiently to get it to become lethargic to avoid chemical sedation.

IDK. Just thinking out loud how to help you, bro.

Yes no charge for your tank thats bad ass and we love what you do!

We used clove oil for his transfer to 720 a couple years ago but center overflow he hated. That was a scary transfer.

The price is more of a donation we have had a few offers for less with lesser tanks or a little larger community setups that were turned down. We would bring for free to a huge setup in my area.

We would pay vet and use oil and water sedative and 70 degree water.

We are getting ready to drop off to seaworld 50,000 Amazon setup if no one on west coast steps up!

Thank you. That means a lot to me. I am pleasantly surprised you'd let it go for free but the logistics of the transfer I would not be able to overcome. fugupuff fugupuff Hey Wes, is this even fathomable?

What was scary about the transfer to the 720 gal?

It sounds you care about the fish a great deal. Wouldn't you think that the Seaworld accommodation hands down would be the best? Why bother with anything else?

This is my post when I was traveling and lost my account.
thank you mods this thread can be closed!

thanks bro for your thumbs up!

A-a-aha! I was smelling that something was off but could not quite place my finger on it. :) I figured Mad Max may be making rounds :)

Much luck with the transfer to you and lil' Maxie. If you made a thread later on how you will do it (and how you've done it in the past), that'd be informative and interesting to me and I am sure to many others.
