Updates, tamasopoensis close to 6" now

smaller panamensis around 3", I think a female. Smaller of the males jumped out a while back, so now I have one male and 3 females. Male is 4" and chunky, but camera shy.

Beautiful tank and fish! I'm so jealous! :D

May I ask how you got the wood to stay like that? Is it just luck or did you use some kind of black magic? O.o

Thank you :) The ends of the branches are in the sand, and the base is propped up against the side of the tank.

Thanks guys, I really like this fish. Hoping he will pick a female and make some babies.

Stanzzzz7 Stanzzzz7 the java moss is doing great so far, except that the fish pick at it and strings of it end up in my powerhead and filter intake. I have it wedged inbetween two branches so it stays put mostly, if it would grab onto the wood and spread I'd be happy. Just added that about a week ago.

Update- *Might* have a pair. The female is in total breeding mode, she has cleaned a rock in the middle of the tank and I have seen her defending it. Her color over the past couple weeks has shifted to the black beard+bar you see now. I think she's ready to go, but the male seems pretty oblivious that she's into him. He doesn't chase her away when she swims with him like he does the other panamensis, so that's a start.
