  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
2 males 2 females! They were swimming in 2 pairs when I first put them in, now they kind of all hang out together in these floating plants I put on one side for them.
Be careful with the males, from what I have read they only get just over 3 inch and tend to get eaten by the female when courting.

Makes sense, thanks I will keep an eye on them. Right now the males are around 3" and the females 4". So I think the females would need to grow another couple inches before I worry about it.

Very nice pick up with the pike tops.
It's nice to see something a little unusual yet stil relevant in a c/a tank.
Love it.

Looking great! I may do a similar type of tank based around my nice male Myrnae and male HRP.

Did I miss where you said what size the tank is?

Yes, first time with each and they are beautiful. Debating buying a 75 or 125 for this setup....bigger is always better right?
bigger is definitely always better! In a 4 foot it could probably work as well but I think if you just put the two males in there you will have problems, I'd get a group of the myrnae and let the male hrp be solo. He will probably chase all the myrnae a bit if he is dominant, but one wont get singled out that way. 125 would be better to do 2 groups.

Video update! Realized I didn't have a video of this tank and took a quick one.
Gave the sajica in here to a friend because she didn't really fit into the stocking anymore, and one of the belonesox was killed by the other three bullying it in the first week I got them. The other 3 seem to be living well together.
enjoy, turn the settings up to 1080p if the video looks grainy
