Makes sense because even my wolf fish(Hoplias malabaricus) was a pain in the a* to get.Possibly a seasonal species but not sure tbh.

Thanks! I honestly didn't know MFK had a marketplace.Looked at Tangledupincichlids stocklist he has Black Wolf,Aimara, and Gold wolves in stock.
Get read for a laugh...I love bichirs so when you typed Afaik bichirs I thought wtf bichir is that? Sounds cool. Haha then I saw it was just an acronym for as far as I know!Wolves are amazing fish to keep. I didn’t have much luck mixing my mala with other fish, it tried to eat a silver dollar and tiger fish lol. So I ended up selling it. If I had the space I would definitely keep another. Afaik bichirs and wolves make a great combo, a few people I know have kept mala and endli together for years. Other than that, I’d say datnoids would make decent tankmates and probably silver / black arowanas.
Blood! Nice well not nice but that's the feedback I wanted to confirm. How long did he take to get to the current size?I have a h malabaricus very aggressive he bit me when I first got him he was about 5 inches long I put my hand in to remove a snail he shot up and bit my finger and drew blood he is now 13 inches in length so I have to be very carefull
