1 month salt/heat, ich won't die

Lymph doesn't look anything like ick. They are puffy growths, at times large compared to the tiny ick dots.
It is viral, like the common cold, so there is no medication treatment that is effective.
And because you didn't use an effective amount of salt in the beginning, I'm not surprised the ick is still there. It sometimes takes a month to irradiate, even with an appropriate dose.

depending on where you live, I was told from a few reliable people that there is a strain of ich in florida that can't be treated.

Practically every aquarist with any time in, has dealt with ick.
It's usually our own fault, because we don't quarantine new fish long enough.
I've gone from quarantining for 2 weeks when I was a noob, and now, I quarantine no less than 2 months, better 3 months. A friend quarantines 6 months.
There is a saying in some aquarium circles, "if you you haven't killed a bunch of fish, you haven't been at it long enough".
Here are some fish I had that caught ick because I slacked off on my quarantine.

2 weeks later they looked like this, because I brought salinity up to the proper concentration

There were also a few scaleless catfish in the tank, no cichlid or cat died as a result of the proper treatment, but I would have gladly sacrificed a few for the many.[/URL]
