The amphs I like tend to be too aggressive to keep with most other fish. Actually almost all amphs are a**holes haha.

I like oscars but do I necessarily want an Oscar. I’m not sure.

I really like the idea of a fire eel but at the same do I want a tank full of only noodles :D

Yes you do you can name the tank "Pasta Bowl" or if it's planted "The Olive Garden"

Exactly, I tend to try to go for the more rare. Though a little Oscar would be pretty fun to have again.

rapps had some a.orbicularis DMD123 DMD123 and I had one each and man they are gorgeous. If I were to ever get another 0 it would be an orbicularis.

It's funny i was just looking into those the other day. Right now, I am trying to narrow a few down and then go to my wife and see what she thinks but if i know my wife I will probably end up with either a vieja or something similar. but if i do go that way it would definitely have to be one of the more docile ones. All in all as long as shes happy and i get my polys ill be happy lol.

Someone once mentioned that they thought orbicularus has larger anal fins. I found that mine was more aggressive than other oscars ive had

Oh i see, the differences are so subtle. Lol
I feel an Oscar would be too greedy in feeding though.
Any of you guys have any other herbivoric larger cichlids? I’m trying to stick to herbivores for the same reason all you guys like herbivores with your polys. Less feeding
