Hello; There are two conversations going on here. One is about the girlfriend who seems too bossy or "it's all about me" for my taste. I say enjoy her company for as long as can be tolerated but do not marry.
The other is about sick days. I got eight sick days and two personal days a year = 10 days off with pay. Over 27 years I used some days with the bulk of days used being when my wife had a broken back from a car accident and one major surgery I had. A few others when I was sick myself. At the end of my working time I had almost nineteen years of days accumulated. I tried to show up for work because that was the deal I made and the job needed me there. Taking days off to do chores is wrong.

I didnt take off to do a water change, I had a lot of other stuff to do. I also had both sick time and payed time off to use.
I wouldnt worry about. I wouldnt believe anyone that says they never used a sick day for reasons other than being sick any way, so the employee takes a day... its not like employers arent getting over on things either.
My job had basically unlimited sick days depending on the nature of illness but depending on how they wanted to twist things my employer was able to manipulate the rules to its favor when they needed to. I was out for two different injuries during the same 18 month period for probably a total of 6 or 7 months and they braught me up on charges for abusing sick leave. I faught it an won.
Damn the man !!! Lmaoo
Any news on the girl ? Maybe try ecplaining that this behavior isnt gonna fly
