Tall tanks or Long Tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I often wanted to make a iwagami river type aquascape in one of those tanks, i think the lower height almost gives more options as far as creative design and play...

I'd quite like some albino cory, and a shoal of wild green neon's, with some plants, nothing major in this tank; just relaxing

Paco Mom the dims of a tank 15x4x4 is not really a tall tank scaling it down to a 180 which is 6x2x2 i would consider 15x4x4 more long then tall now a tank i think they should discontinue making is the 110 tall

Thank you very much for the correction. My bad!! I have no idea where I got the idea that 4' was tall. OK!! My 4' high tank is a short tank, if that makes you feel better.

build one lol, here are pics of it just now; I need to put in a plant substrate underneath some sand, and sort out an led bar; unfortunately my funds are tight just now so it's likely to be a slow burnerView attachment 1298609 View attachment 1298610

No space left to setup more tanks now that i've got a dog... one day i may do one in super miniature scale to challenge myself lol...

I'm a guy who likes long tanks, so I can pimp out my tank says the OP.

I am not comprehending the gist of the original poster. Is he trying to get his fish involved in some illegal fish prostitution scheme?:D

Let me get this straight: if the height of a tank has to be greater than the length of the tank to be considered tall, then by deduction, the width of a tank has to be greater than the length of the tank to be a wide tank. To be considered a long tank, the length has to be greater than the height and width of the tank. Congratuations! Any one with a standard size tank has a long tank! 10 gallon, 29 gallon tanks are all long tanks! Amazing. I learn something new every day.
