^Good idea.....and by the way,a silver Asian aro?...can you post a few photos of it?
Of course I can, when I get him from work I will post photos of my setup including my silver aro and ornate bichir. Unfortunately I am working a double today so I will post as soon as I can.

I’m getting mixed answers about what I should be feeding my aro. A lot of people are saying keep him on a pellet diet over live food/frozen food. I understand that I should keep him on a variety of foods but should I feed him more pellets than the rest of it doesn’t really matter as long as I switch it up.
Variety is always best with live food being an occasional treat,if at all depending on what it is as feeder fish are risky and could transmit disease and parasites. They also contain minimal nutrition value. You could give it small crickets from the pet store which are good for it and may help get it to learn to eat the pellets.Pellets are usually best in terms of overall nutrition .

Sounds good.Do you work at a pet shop or did you mean, when you get home from work?

You could feed the bichir in a dish, and the aro in a floating ring. They will quickly learn where the food is, if you are consistent about it and it will help prevent the food from being scattered.
I see the floating ring on amazon, I added it to my cart. But what about the feeder dish? What is that. It doesn’t show on amazon.

Welcome aboard

At this time the Aro at that size is very fragile continue to offer freeze dried bloodworms and smallest floating pellet New Life Spectrum is an excellent brand as the Silver Aro matures offer Carnivore floating food sticks, Crickets, Shrimp. The Ornate should be provided with sinking pellet such as small Hikari Massivore and small peices of Tilapia. Most importantly leave a gap of 1-2 inches of water line space so the Juvie Ornate can take in air without this Ornate will drown.

I just fed him frozen bloodworms. He will not go for the ones that sink but he ate everything that stay at the top floating. I’m having trouble with me ornate he can’t seem to find the food that sunk to the bottom of the tank. He actually swam by some at the top but didn’t eat it.
