alright, sounds like a little tank swapping to find out who will cohab with my sa lung, but overall peaceful to most other fish that wont fit in their mouths
I dont think there is a concrete answer when it comes to aggression. Over all the species is peaceful. Doubly peaceful towards non poly tankmates. Its a numbers game. Always gonna be a few rotten apples.
I bet if there was a survey done between all the members it would probably be close to 50/50 split in terms of whose more aggressive lj or uj.
For me i've had slightly more aggression from upper jaws (that i can remember). Gold dust, ornate were problems. I had a sen that went through a nippy stage.
A wc endlicheri that was absolute hell on wheels to other polys but never bothered a non poly. Yet 5 other endli that were easy peezy. A pbb that was aggressive towards polys and bite the pearsei. After a smack down it had no issues with the big green guy. Another pbb thats a complete pushover.
The ornate never bothered a non poly until it started picking on a juruense oddly left the vulture alone.
I wouldnt use aggression as a sole means to decide which you like. Also should consoder how important activity level is. Or its patterns.
any "froggy issue" with tws tank raised bichirs? or is koliba the best bet
It depends good genetics or bad. Either way it would be a gamble. Most defects dont really manifest until they put on some size. You'd probably be safe with cb dels. Other than getting the beer belly they look great. On the other hand i love cb endlis so its a preference thing. Rapps has them for dirt cheap right now i would definitely give one or two a try.
Cb koliba are no where near as nice as wc. Endli on the other hand isnt a total drop off but can end up with froggy eyes.
